The 73rd AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic takes place on Friday, January 2, 2009.

Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m., Central Standard Time. The game will take place once again at Cotton Bowl stadium, 88,175 capacity. The playing surface is natural grass (Bermuda Tifway Sod).
The game will see the Big 12 Conference #2 vs. Southeastern Conference Champion. The estimated team payout is $3 million for each school.

The teams will be selected on Sunday, December 7, 2008. The Cotton Bowl will be televised by FOX Network as well as over the airwaves on the Westwood One Radio Network.

The 2009 Cotton Bowl Chairmans is Kathy Saunders, and the President and Executive Director is Rick Baker.
